Blizzard of 2009
December 20, 2009
Yep, the blizzard of 2009, at least that’s what the news is calling it down here. We had to dig out from close to 2 feet of snow. Very pretty, but not much fun to be trekking back and forth to Hopkins in. Brad was awesome to brave the weather yesterday to drive up to Baltimore with Jonathan for his IPOP appointment. We’re back again today — no snow day from Hopkins.
Beyond the snow, today’s Day 12 post-transplant. Jonathan’s dealing with lots of fatigue and nausea, but is on track overall. He’s getting lots of meds and transfusions daily, so his outpatient appointments are still pretty long. But he’s good all things considered.
Hope you’re all digging out and staying warm!

I guess those snow dances really worked! We had fun watching this storm from far away! Too bad we can’t send down our snow tires for you—so glad you have friends close by who aren’t afraid of a “little” snow! Love, kate
