Team Haupt took our message to Capitol Hill this weekend. Or, more accurately,  Capitol Hill came to us.

Representative Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) met with us Saturday before a forum at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring to talk about bone marrow donation and why so much more is needed to raise awareness about donation and how easy it is to get tested and join the registry. Van Hollen even volunteered to get swabbed, showing just how fast and simple it is! Jonathan also had an opportunity to speak with the Van Hollen about the difficult reality he and so many other cancer patients face when it comes to health insurance and maintaining coverage for their long term care.

We can’t thank Congressman Van Hollen enough for his support  for Team Haupt and his help in spreading the word about how important one simple swab can be!
