Team Haupt Keeps Spreading the Word on TV
Team Haupt is thrilled that we had not 1 but 2 TV segments air tonight highlighting this weekend’s drives in Natick, Brookline and Baltimore.
Check out our interview with WBAL-TV 11 in Baltimore here.
And be sure to watch Team Haupt on WBZ-TV 38 Boston here.
Much appreciation to Jennifer Franciotti at WBAL, Mallika Marshall at WBZ and Dr. Doug Smith here at Hopkins for taking the time to talk about Jonathan and our efforts.
More Success with NYC and NIH Drives
Team Haupt held two drives yesterday, one in NYC at the JCC of Manhattan and a second at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda for NIH employees. Both were a definite success, together adding several hundred new potential donors to the DKMS and Be the Match national registries! Thank you to everyone who came out to volunteer and huge thanks to Michael, Bena, Eric, Lauren and JP who organized the drives.
This weekend it’s full steam ahead with Team Haupt donor drives in Baltimore, Boston, New York and St. Louis — come out and join us. All it takes is a cheek swab and 10 minutes to save a life!
Saturday Drive – Natick Belkin Lookout Farm
After initial weather forecasts that made our Team Haupt event planner go into overdrive with back-up plans, it now looks like it will be a BEAUTIFUL day in Natick for our Saturday drive. Enjoy the lovely outdoor weather and come to the Belkin Lookout Farm’s anniversary celebration – and show your children the ultimate act of giving! Team Haupt will be at the Farm from 11-3 (and if it does rain we’ll be indoors in their market so have no fear – you can still come out for a good cause)! Directions to the farm can be found at: http://www.belkinlookoutfarm.com/

Gopher Power
Many thanks to the awesome team in the Goucher College Athletics Department for jumping in to highlight Jonathan and the upcoming Baltimore drive this Sunday. Jonathan’s younger self is making splash on the Goucher Athletics homepage and in this article.

Youngest Team Haupt Member Asks – Got Marrow?
Hello from the Worcester Bone Marrow Drive. We had a nice turnout and are excited for the next 2 drives in the Boston area to swab some more Mass cheeks. Check out Sophie asking donors if they are comfortable with the two ways of donating bone marrow:

A Smashing Success in Reston

What a day! The crowds at the Team Haupt booth were constant all day long, with hundreds of people getting tested as potential bone marrow donors for Jonathan.
A huge thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers who worked tirelessly all day long — and to the fabulous Amanda and the DKMS team for all of their help in hosting the drive. Of course the biggest thanks of all goes to everyone out there — friends and wonderful strangers alike — who got tested for Jonathan
