Team Haupt just finished our second corporate event, this one at Staples Headquarters in Framingham, MA.  Our donor/minute record was broken – and we are so thankful to Staples for hosting and publicizing the event!  Thank you to everyone that registered and volunteered!

Today’s drive at the JCC of Greater Washington in Rockville is in full swing and we’re urging everyone to join  us today from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.

And also check out Shering Maryland tonight at 6:30 PM on WCBM AM 680.  Lynn Morrison Venetoulis, one of Team Haupt’s biggest supporters, will be a guest on Greg and Richard Sher’s program to discuss Jonathan’s fight with AML and our upcoming drive August 2 at the JCC of Greater Baltimore in Park Heights.

Team Haupt took our message to Capitol Hill this weekend. Or, more accurately,  Capitol Hill came to us.

Representative Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) met with us Saturday before a forum at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring to talk about bone marrow donation and why so much more is needed to raise awareness about donation and how easy it is to get tested and join the registry. Van Hollen even volunteered to get swabbed, showing just how fast and simple it is! Jonathan also had an opportunity to speak with the Van Hollen about the difficult reality he and so many other cancer patients face when it comes to health insurance and maintaining coverage for their long term care.

We can’t thank Congressman Van Hollen enough for his support  for Team Haupt and his help in spreading the word about how important one simple swab can be!

Join us this Sunday in Rockville, MD and Highland Park, NJ for out next big donor drives for Jonathan. All it takes is one person to make that marrow miracle happen!

Just 10 minutes and a simple cheek swab are all that’s involved to get tested and jointhe DKMS and national registries to help Jonathan or another leukemia patient like him. It’s fast and free. Bring a friend and make it a donor date!

Coming off the huge success of our drives the past 3 weeks, several more drives in honor of Jonathan have just been announced. 

We need your help in spreading the word about the drives! We also need volunteers to help work the drives and be part of the Team Haupt Foot Patrol the day of each drive to encourage attendance.

We especially need volunteers for:

• Sunday, 7/26 – Rockville, MD – sign up  to volunteer at the drive or to be part of the Team Haupt Foot Patrol. (We really need help with the Foot Patrol — go to the link above for more details on what’s involved in helping.)

Amazing news: Jonathan was released JUST from Hopkins this morning — in time for the big drive in Baltimore. First stop: pre-drive pancakes breakfast with Andres & Gillian!
